An Afternoon of Irish Gaelic
(Tráthnóna na Gaeilge)
The Circle will offer an Irish language program at the No Irish, Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels in a half day event. All are invited to attend this day from those with no Irish to cainteoirí dúchais.
Come and be with us if you are curious about the language, want to improve or use your Irish or to help learners develop their skills. Enjoy an afternoon of classes, a lecture and time for conversation, refreshments and pastries.
The lecture will be given by Fulbright Scholar Shane Ó Ruairc (currently at Drew University and New York University) on Cumann Lúthcleas Gael (Gaelic Athletic Association) and its’ involvement in the political life of 20th century Ireland.
Date: Saturday, April 11th. 12:30 – 5:30 PM
Location: Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center located at 6 Lake Av., Danbury, CT. (Hosted by the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Foundation)

Directions: By car, take I-84 from the east or west. Get out exit 4 and make a left onto Lake Ave. The Center is on the right about half a mile down Exit 4. Parking: right at the Center or across the street.
By train, there is a train station 10 miles away in Brewster or Purdys, NY. Please contact us for transportation.
