Fall 2018 - Online Irish Language Classes at the Beginner, Second Year Beginner and Intermediate Levels



Fall 2018 Irish Language Classes at the Irish Gaelic Circle of Connecticut

The Irish Gaelic Circle will offer three classes for a 10-week term during the Fall.  Come join us!  Classes are online or in person.

Beginners Class:  Starts on Saturday, Sept. 8th at 10:45 AM.  Class may be attended online or in person at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center (GDICC) located in Danbury, CT USA.

Second Year Beginners Class: Starts on Sat., Sept. 8th at 9:00 AM.  Class may be attended online or in person at the GDICC.

Intermediate Class: Starts on Tues, Sept. 11th at 8:00 PM.  Class is online only.

Times are EST.  Classes run for an hour and 15 minutes approximately. 
No software needed for online.  Works on all devices. 
Cost for term is $150 plus any books as needed.

Summer 2018 Irish Language Classes - Online Beginners, Advanced Beginners and Intermediate Levels Levels

Lá na Gaeilge - Irish Language Day / Pop-Up Gaeltacht, Sat Eve, April 28th. / Irish Music Trad Fest, April 29th (Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center)





























The Pop-Up Gaeltacht will be held at the pub in the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center (GDICC) located at 6 Lake Ave in Danbury, CT.  The Trad Fest will be on the following day at the GDICC.  For more details, visit the GDICC FB page and GDICC.org.

Irish Language Mass - St Edward the Confessor in New Fairfield, CT

The Ladies' and Men's divisions of the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Danbury will host a Mass in honor of St Patrick.  Members of the Irish Gaelic Circle of CT will do several of the prayers and readings in Irish.  The Mass will be at St. Edward's located at 21 Brush Hill Road, New Fairfield, CT  on Sat., March 10th at 9 AM.  All are invited.  Bígí linn!

ONLINE IRISH LANGUAGE CLASS AT FAIRFIELD UNIVERSITY - SPRING 2018




The online course 'Introduction to Irish Language II" will be offered again this Spring by Fairfield University for lifelong learners (Certificate) and undergrads (credit) in the Irish Studies Program. The class will begin on Feb. 5th for a ten week term and meeting on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 7:45 PM ET. The class is suitable for those who have learned some Irish already with instructor approval. Students will continue to the learn the basics of pronunciation, syntax and grammar as it applies to everyday conversation as well as some history and culture.
