Irish Language Classes For the Fall 2016 Term Completed
Beginner level (Classroom) and Intermediate level (Online) classes at the Irish Gaelic Circle of Connecticut have been completed. Students, teachers and friends will be celebrating the Christmas season at a seisiún on Thursday, Dec. 22nd from 6-9 PM with song and readings in English and Irish at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center.

Introduction to Irish Language I Class at Fairfield University - Fall term completed
Students in the Introduction to Irish Language I class at Fairfield University completed the course last week. The online class was attended by students from various locations in Canada and the US. The
Irish Gaelic Circle of Connecticut
Irish
Language Day
(Lá
na Gaeilge)
The Circle will offer an Irish language program at
the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels in a full day event. All are invited to attend this day from those
with no Irish to native speakers.
Come and be with us if you are curious about the language, want to
improve or use your Irish or to help learners develop their skills. The informal tone of the day provides a great
way to meet other learners and Irish speakers who come from a wide variety of
backgrounds. People who share your love
and excitement for Irish culture and want to help others who want to learn
Irish.
There
will be three classes throughout the day with a lecture and workshops related
to Irish history and culture. There
will be time for breaks and lunch as well.
A book shop with Irish language books will also be available. Three fluent and gifted language teachers
will be teaching the classes and delivering the lecture. The cost for the day is $50 (students with ID
$25) including lunch and wine and cheese at the end of the day.
There will be a Book shop open as well as workshops
in singing and playing the feadóg stáin / tin whistle (Key of D).
