The heart
and soul of any people is in their language, which is key to understanding
their history and way of thinking.
This fall,
Fairfield University is offering “Introduction to Irish Language I” a
12-week course open to both undergraduate students for three credit hours*
within the Irish Studies minor (director approval needed), and to lifelong
learners as a certificate. The course is
online.
Students
will learn the basics of Irish language pronunciation, syntax, and grammar as
it applies to everyday conversation, as well as insight into Irish history and
culture.
