Winter 2025 Irish Language Classes at the Irish Gaelic Circle

The Irish Gaelic Circle has been teaching Irish for over 20 years now and will offer three classes for an 8 or 10-week term (depending upon the class as noted) during the Winter of 2025.  All classes meet weekly.  Classes are online.  Students will learn how to read, write, and speak Irish in a friendly enjoyable atmosphere.  Irish culture, traditions, songs, and history as pertains to the language will also be presented. Our students who decide to take the Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG) exams have consistently done well on those exams.

New students at all levels are welcome to attend.

 Beginners Class: Starts on Mon., Jan 6th at 6:30 PM. This class is a continuation for first time learners from the Fall class who have a limited knowledge of Irish. Students are learning the elements of Irish grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.  New students are welcome.  Online.  10-week term.  Cost: $180 plus books. 

Intermediate Class: Starts on Sat., Jan 11th at 8:15 AM. Suitable for students who have studied Irish for a few years.  Includes conversation and reading stories in Irish about history, and current events. Online for an 8-week term.   Cost: $145 plus books. 

Intermediate Class: Starts on Tues, Jan. 7th at 7:30 PM. Suitable for students who have been learning Irish for a few years and includes conversation and reading stories about history and current events as well. Online for a 10-week term.  Cost: $185. 

Times are ET. Classes run for an hour and 15 minutes approximately. No software needed for online (Zoom). Works on all devices.   

Private classes can also be arranged.

New classes can be arranged as the need arises as well.

Summer Beginner Irish Language Classes with the Irish Gaelic Circle - 2024

 


The best way to learn about your Irish Heritage is by learning the language! The Irish Gaelic Circle has been teaching Irish language classes for over 20 years. 

Beginners course will be held, meeting weekly on Zoom, on Saturday mornings at 10:30 AM (hour and 15 min.) Learn the basics to read, write and speak the language. Irish culture, traditions, songs, and history as pertains to the language will also be presented. Term: 8 weeks. Cost: $140. Books not included.

Fall 2023 Irish Language Classes at the Irish Gaelic Circle-4 Levels

 


The Irish Gaelic Circle has been teaching Irish for over 20 years now and will offer four classes for a 10-week term (depending upon the class as noted) during the Fall.  All classes meet weekly.  Classes are online.  Students will learn how to read, write, and speak Irish in a friendly enjoyable atmosphere.  Irish culture, traditions and history as pertains to the language will also be presented. Our students do well on the Teastas Eorpach na Gaeilge (TEG) exams.

New students at all levels are welcome to attend.

 Beginners Class: Starts on Sat, Sept. 16th.  This class is for first year learners who have no or a very limited knowledge of Irish. Students are learning the elements of Irish grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.  Online.  10-week term.  Cost: $165 plus books.  

Advanced Beginners Class: Started on Mon., Sept. 11th at 6:30 PM. This class is for second year learners who have some knowledge of Irish. Students are learning the elements of Irish grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.  The class is team-taught along with the Shenandoah Gaeltacht.  Online.  10-week term.  Cost: $165 plus books. 

Intermediate Class: Starts on Sat., Sept. 16th at 8:45 AM. Suitable for students who have studied Irish for at least a year.  Includes conversation and reading articles on current events in Irish, and Irish mythology and history.  Online.  10-week term.  Cost: $165 plus books. 

Intermediate Class: Starts on Tues, Sept 19th at 7:45 PM. Suitable for students who have been learning Irish for several years and includes conversation as Gaeilge as well. 10-week term.  Cost: $165. 

Times are ET. Classes run for an hour and 15 minutes approximately.

The Irish Gaelic Circle has been teaching Irish for over 20 years now and will offer a Beginner's Class for a 6-week term during the Summer.  All classes meet weekly.  Classes are online.  Students will learn the basics of how to read, write, and speak Irish in a friendly enjoyable atmosphere.  Irish culture, traditions and history as pertains to the language will also be presented. 

 Beginners Class: Starts on Saturday, June 24th at 10:45 AM ET.  This class is for first year learners who have no Irish or a limited knowledge of Irish. Students are learning the elements of Irish grammar, vocabulary, and syntax.  Online.  6-week term.  Cost: $120 plus books.  

Times are ET. Classes run for an hour and 15 minutes approximately.

Daltaí na Gaeilge's May Irish Language Weekend (May 19-21) is coming up in Esopus, NY. There is still time to register! Enjoy Irish language classes from beginners to fluent with a friendly group of people who share your interest in our Irish heritage. Classes for Tin whistle, Irish dancing, Irish songs. lectures, seisiún and céilí.
Families are welcome! Come for the day or for the weekend. The most Irish you will hear on this side of the Atlantic!!

The Irish Gaelic Circle has been teaching Irish for over 20 years now and will offer three classes for an 8 or 10-week term (depending upon the class as noted) during the Winter.  All classes meet weekly.  Classes are online or an online/in-person hybrid depending upon the class.  Students will learn how to read, write, and speak Irish in a friendly enjoyable atmosphere.  Irish culture, traditions and history as pertains to the language will also be presented. 

 

New Beginners Class: Starts on Sat., Jan 8th at 10:45 AM. This class is for first time learners with no study of Irish or those who have a very limited knowledge of Irish.  This is an online or in-person class as desired by each student.  8-week term.  Cost: $120 plus books.

 

Second Year Lower Intermediate Class: Starts on Sat., Jan 8th at 8:30 AM. Suitable for students who have studied Irish for at least a year.  This is an online or in-person class as desired by each student.  8-week term.  Cost: $120.

 

Intermediate Class: Starts on Tues, Jan. 4th at 7:45 PM. Suitable for students who have been learning Irish for several years and includes conversation as Gaeilge as well. This is online only.  10-week term.  Cost: $150.
